The Courage to Create Change

We all want to create change, at least on some level, and the best way to do this might not necessarily be what you think.
When we want to incite change, we often take what we think is the more practical and simple route. We try to change our environment with direct actions, and this may work...for a short while.
But this is not sustainable, and I’ll tell you why:
Although you may have been able to temporarily change the situation externally, the results will not last because you, an important contributor to the situation, have not changed internally.
So what does it mean to change internally and what impact can that really have?
Well, when you decide to start with you, the person in the mirror, it creates a powerful shift from DOING better to BEING better.
Rather than unsuccessfully trying to force situations to go according to your will, you are allowing situations to flow while positioning yourself to benefit from how they unfold.
Now you might think to yourself that you cannot change the world anyway, so “what does it matter whether you use force to create change or focus on changing yourself first?”
This is a dangerous way of thinking.
Whether you believe your actions have an impact on the world on not, they do.
If you fail to understand this concept you will act as if what you do doesn’t matter and you won’t have any inclination to behave in a responsible way towards yourself or others who interact with, or merely observe you.
I want you to think of it as a chain reaction. Or maybe you’ve heard of it as the butterfly effect.
Changing yourself starts the chain reaction that will begin to change the world, first impacting the people around you and the people around them and the people around them and so on.
Now, I admit it isn’t easy.
It can feel more natural to fixate on how things or people should be, rather than identifying that within yourself.
It takes a lot of courage to be willing to see yourself truthfully and it takes even more bravery to proactively do something about it.
But once you consistently work on your character and refine your thinking, you will inevitably see the results manifest in all areas of your life. As a result, you will no longer feel the need to force things; you will be able to attract and manifest what you need and successfully handle things however they unfold.
By default, you will be able to raise the vibration of those around you by way of your impeccable mindset and behaviour.
Be courageous and be you. The world needs your light. Keep shining.
